Arequipa Street
Arequipa is a very medievil city in the south of peru - the city is at almost 3000m, and its skyline is dominated by El Misti (a volcano so huge that I cant remember how many meters high it is :-)

Santa Catalina is a huge old convent. The nuns have largely abandoned it to the tourists, who roam around like wild dogs (I know I did)

The inside of the convent is full of murals, brightly coloured walls and paintings.

Santa Catalina is like a small town of its own, and the streets are all brightly coloured. Arequipa is known as the white city, officially because all the buildings are white. But in fact the real reason is that more of the people are white than in other parts of Peru. The streets of Arequipa were once brightly coloured like those of Santa Catalina.

Apologies to all Christians, but this painting pretty much proves that God is a sexual deviant. It contains everything from innappropriate touching in the top-right to doggy-style action in the bottom left. And prancing. Sick.
